Curse Of The Bermuda Triangle

By Jimmy Shoals · The Saltwater Sessions: Midnight Offerings

They say the Triangle ain't no place to roam, Ships get lost, and planes don't come home. But some folks swear, with a mischievous smile, They're all out there, partying island-style. We sailed out of Miami on a bright sunny day, With charts in hand and the wind at play. But somewhere past Port Royal, the compass went wild, And the crew just laughed, the sky seemed mild. Saw a ghost ship drift, heard Flight 19 hum, "Come join us, sailor, the party's begun!" Lost in the Bermuda Triangle's pull, Where the drinks are strong and the stories full. Pirates slam their glasses, aviators cheer, And the band plays Buffett for all to hear. Gone from the world, but they don't feel strange, Raising hell in the Triangle's range! A ship with no crew sailed past our bow, "Mary Celeste," I muttered, but don't ask me how. The captain just grinned with a wink in his eye, "Next stop's Atlantis, and it's worth a try." We passed strange lights and the ocean grew still, Then steel drums started, and the air had a thrill. There's laughter afloat where the trade winds blow, Mermaids dance where wrecked ships go. Lost pirates cheer and planes touch down, On an island they swear ain't marked or found. Lost in the Bermuda Triangle's pull, Where the drinks are strong and the stories full. Pirates slam their glasses, aviators cheer, And the band plays Buffett for all to hear. Gone from the world, but they don't feel strange, Raising hell in the Triangle's range! They mapped out Atlantis with cocktail straws, Made the Bermuda Triangle the party's cause. Flight 19 formed a cover band down there, And the Mary Celeste serves drinks without a care. Lost in the Bermuda Triangle's pull, Where the drinks are strong and the stories full. Pirates slam their glasses, aviators cheer, And the band plays Buffett for all to hear. Gone from the world, but they don't feel strange, Raising hell in the Triangle's range! With a round of Hand Grenades, we felt no fear, Lost in the Triangle, but the vibe was clear. A pirate handed me a map, worn and tattered, (X marks the spot, but here it don't matter.) The crowd roared louder as the music swayed, Turns out, even hurricanes came to parade. So if you see a ship drift into the bay, Or planes go dark and just drift away, Just know they're not lost — they've found a place, In the Triangle's arms, where worries erase.
