Boat pushes off in the morning sun, just sailing across Negril Bay,
Shaggy on the rail,— twenty years he been this way.

Cooler in the corner, tanks lined up in a row,

Grinning like trouble, but you trust him somehow,
“Stick close to me… I’ll show you around.”
It’s Saturday morning… you know how we roll,
Two tanks waiting… for a deep-sea soul.
Dropping in at Shark Reef… where the big ones play,
Just follow the bubbles… Shaggy leads the way.
Time on my watch… nine thirty-five,
Regulators in now… let’s go for a dive.

Half of us laughing, bubbles drifting away,
The other half swearin’… it was their day today.
We come up grinning, masks pushed up on our heads,
He says “you saw her or not… don’t matter what I said.”

Headin’ on home… for some Crown on ice.
