There was this one time…
Me and my buddies, we're runnin' up and down the coast,
hittin' every beach bar we could find.
Cold drinks, good music… just one of those nights, you know?
What I didn't realize…
every single one of 'em had a flip-flop escape plan
all locked in and ready to go.
And one by one… they disappeared.
Next thing I know…
I'm standin' there, drink in my hand,
lookin' around like —
…where the hell am I?
Sun's comin' up…
and I'm still goin'.
And that's when I realized —
I was watchin' sunrise…
at the wrong bar.
Said I'd keep it easy… just a couple and gone,
Next thing I know… I'm still here at dawn.
Wasn't gonna call her… wasn't gonna stay,
Wasn't gonna do half the things I did anyway.
One turned into three… three turned into more,
Now the sun's comin' in through a busted screen door.
Don't know where I am… but I know this feel —
Same bad decisions… just a different bar.
I was doin' just fine 'til I said "why not,"
One bad idea… turned into a lot.
Every "just one more"… turns into a night,
Where wrong feels easy… and it feels right.
Sunrise at the wrong bar,
Said I'd call it early,
but I walked right through that door.
Sunrise at the wrong bar,
One bad call turns into ten,
and I'm right back where I know.
Don't know the bartender… but he knows my drink,
Sets it right down… 'fore I even think.
Girl at the corner laughin' like I fit right in,
But I don't recognize a single one of them.
Phone's half dead… still lightin' it up,
Names I shouldn't call… but I still scroll 'em up.
Tab's still open… so I guess I'm stayin',
Same bad decisions… just a different day and…
Ain't the bar… it's the road I'm on,
Same wrong turn that I keep leanin' on.
Every time I say I'm done with this —
I end up right where I started from.
Sunrise at the wrong bar,
Say we're gonna change it,
but we walk right through that door.
Sunrise at the wrong bar,
One bad call turns into ten,
and we're right back where we know.
Same bad decisions…
Sunrise at the wrong bar…
